June 12, 2001 To: The Campus Community From: Public Affairs Office Re: Construction for bi-directional Metro bus service Construction will begin this week to allow bi-directional Metro bus service on campus. Many existing eastbound shuttle stops will be widened to accommodate the Metro buses. The intersection at Hagar/McLaughlin will also be widened to allow the increased turning radius needed by Metro buses. One-lane traffic control will allow traffic to continue to flow in both directions during the project, but delays are possible.
