Kayak Whale Watch #2
03/02/2013 Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Some previous kayaking experience is necessary for this outing. Join us for a real adventure - kayaking with Gray Whales! In the spring the Gray Whale migration brings them close to our coastline and provides a great opportunity to observe these spectacular and graceful creatures. Your group will travel to Davenport Landing, 10 miles north of Santa Cruz, where kayakers can easily access the open ocean and encounter whales very close to the shore. After scouting the sea with binoculars from the cliffs, we paddle for a couple of hours and then return to the beach for additional whale watching and lunch. Please bring a sack lunch.
