Speakers:

Alan Richards, a professor of environmental studies and an expert on the political economy of the Middle East. has been a frequent consultant to the State Department and the Department of Defense on Middle Eastern affairs during the past 10 years. He is coauthor of the book A Political Economy of the Middle East.

Brent Haddad, is an associate professor of environmental studies with expertise in ecological economics and renewable energy policy. Professor Haddad also has studied the politics and economics of the contemporary Middle East.
