Fire Department holiday toy drive under way The Fire Department will be collecting new unwrapped toys for local needy children
during the holiday season. Toys can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday
through Friday, at the campus Fire Station on Chinquapin Road, across from the Crown/Merrill
Apartments, or at the campus Police Station in the H Barn until December 23. For

at the University of California, Santa Cruz, is posted on the Web. The editorial
style guide is useful to all campus units preparing printed or online communications.
It establishes a consistent editorial style for the campus and answers some frequently
asked questions about general editorial usage and style. A list of further reference

Medical Clinic could potentially affect between 900 and 1,000 current and retired
UCSC employees. Negotiations were not concluded by the end of Open Enrollment on
November 22, and the current contract expires on January 31. But the UCSC Benefits
Office and the UC Office of the President have made special arrangements so affected
employees will not be left without coverage with their chosen physicians, even if

of Santa Cruz County, Channel 72. Education Abroad Program opening for associate director for Academic AffairsThe Education Abroad Program (EAP) is seeking an associate director for Academic Affairs (ADAA). The ADAA provides leadership in the generation of academic policy, development of new and revision of existing instructional programs, and the administration of academic personnel processes. The ADAA must be a tenured member of the UC Academic Senate.
The appointment is for a two-year term, subject to a possible renewal for a second
two-year term. The appointment is for the academic years 2000-01 and 2001-02, and
begins July 1. The application deadline is February 1.
