King colleague delivers antiwar message

James Lawson photoJames M. Lawson Jr., who worked with Martin Luther King in the 1950s and '60s, said he was "appalled" by discussion of a war with Iraq. The longtime advocate of nonviolent activism spoke at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation on January 21 at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. The next day, Lawson participated in a panel discussion with faculty members and students about nonviolent action. More
