October 1, 2001 Appointments Kevin Browne Kevin Browne has been chosen to fill the position of executive director of undergraduate admissions and university registrar. Browne's experiences include national and international enrollment management and teaching appointments. He comes to UCSC from the Fielding Graduate Institute in southern California where he served as the director of enrollment and student services. His prior experience includes university outreach in Japan, England, Kuwait, Turkey, and many other countries; assistant vice president for enrollment services at the American University in Cairo; and university registrar and director of admissions and university outreach at California State University, Los Angeles. Browne has also held teaching appointments at the American University in Cairo and Purdue University. Regents appointments announced Governor Davis announced the appointments of Monica Lozano and Norman Pattiz as members of the Regents of the University of California. Lozano, of Los Angeles, is president and chief operating officer of La Opinion newspaper. Pattiz, of Beverly Hills, is founder and chairman of the board of Westwood One, America's largest radio network. The appointments are subject to Senate confirmation. Full press release
