Ecologist calls for more research into genetically modified cropsUCSC ecologist Deborah Letourneau has long been concerned about potential risks posed by the genetic modification of crops. Among her concerns are the possibility of unintended impacts on species such as Monarch butterflies, (in caterpillar stage at right).
