UC Santa Cruz has prepared this web site to inform members of the campus community and the public about the Biomedical Research building. Preparation of the Science Hill site–1.5 acres on two parking lots next to the Science & Engineering Libary and Physical Sciences Building–began on Saturday, December 13. A 13-month protest in several trees on the site ended quietly and without confrontation; see the Campus Message, issued Saturday morning.
