Benefits of Giving
Donor Opportunities Program
As a generous supporter of our campus, you will be acknowledged in our annual Honor Roll of Donors (PDF, 1.1MB), which lists donors according to their membership in an annual gift society. Membership in each society brings with it a variety of donor benefits as described below.
Redwood Society $1,000 and above
Members of the Redwood Society are partners with the campus. Supporting a variety of divisions, departments or special projects, Redwood Society members receive the following benefits:
- Invitations to campus events
- online issues of the UCSC Review
- UCSC Foundation Annual Report
Chancellor's Associates- $1,000-4,999
Members of the Chancellors Associates are loyal donors who give to the UCSC Fund, Parents Fund and/or the Dean's Funds. Gifts from Chancellor's Associates allow the Chancellor and Deans to invest in top priorities and quickly act upon emerging opportunities. Chancellor's Associates receive the following benefits:
- Chancellor's Associates biannual newsletter
- Invitations to campus events
- online issues of the UCSC Review
- UCSC Foundation Annual Report
- Invitations to Chancellor-hosted lectures, receptions, ceremonies and special events
Chancellor's Circle- $5,000 and above
Members of the Chancellors Circle are loyal donors who give to the UCSC Fund, Parents Fund and/or the Dean's Funds. Gifts from Chancellor's Circle allow the Chancellor and Deans to invest in top priorities and quickly act upon emerging opportunities. Chancellor's Circle members receive the following benefits:
- Chancellor's Associates biannual newsletter
- Invitations to campus events
- online issues of the UCSC Review
- UCSC Foundation Annual Report
- Invitations to Chancellor-hosted lectures, receptions, ceremonies and special events
- Increased access and stewardship from campus leadership
Membership in our annual gift societies is based on outright gifts and pledges received during our fiscal year, July 1 through June 30.
University Benefactors
University Benefactors are individuals, foundations, businesses, and other organizations that have made cumulative contributions of $50,000 or more over the history of the campus. Benefactors are honored at the following levels in our Honor Roll of Donors (PDF, 1.1MB):
- Gifts totaling $50,000 to $99,999
- Gifts totaling $100,000 to $249,999
- Gifts totaling $250,000 to $499,999
- Gifts totaling $500,000 to $999,999
- Gifts totaling $1,000,000 or more
21st Century Club Members
Donors who have generously made provisions for the campus through a bequest or other planned gift are welcomed into the 21st Century Club. Joining numerous other alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who have planned for their own and UCSCís future, 21st Century Club members are ensuring their continued legacy while supporting the students for generations to come.
