Search under way for UC Santa Cruz Chancellor

University of California President Robert C. Dynes has named a 16-member committee of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community representatives to advise him in the search for the next chancellor of the UC Santa Cruz campus.

To share your comments, concerns, and other information regarding the Chancellor Search, you can:

— share opinions with the selected representative(s) who will present them to the Advisory Committee (see UC Office of the President public notice about this closed-session meeting and the meeting's "Campus Day" agenda).

— at any time during the process, faculty are welcome to communicate to one or more members of the Faculty Sub-Committee (names are on the Advisory Committee membership list).

• Faculty subcommittee meets to begin review of candidates.
• Advisory Committee meets to review candidates and discuss the Faculty Subcommittee's recommendations.
  
  

• Advisory Committee meets to narrow the pool to 6-8 candidates from which the President will select 3-4 finalists who will be invited to interview.
• President interviews finalists.
• President recommends Chancellor finalist to the Regents during closed session.
• New UCSC Chancellor is named.
